Ariff Khushairi was born on 23rd February 1998. Early 3 weeks from doctor’s due date. He was delivered at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital at 3.40pm by Dato' Paduka Dr Nik Hussin Bin Nik Hassan, MBBS (Mal), MRCOG, FRCOG (Lon).
Ariff was our 1st child & as the child both Amran & I was excitedly waiting for, his delivery was very much anticipated.
He was supposed to be delivered in March but maybe he understood the fact that his parents are too eager to meet him, he forced himself to meet us 3 weeks earlier.
The Delivery Journal
As a mother with no experience, my delivery can be described as “An Unforgettable Painful but Happiest Memory “.
It was Monday, 23rd February 1998. Since this is my first child, Amran’s parent are a bit worried & asked us to stay at their home in Bandar Tun Razak (BTR). Furthermore it is nearer from BTR to Ampang Puteri compared from our rented house in Balakong.
During my 3rd trimester, there were many2 nights where I was sleepless & lying on the bed for hours not able to close my eyes. As such, it was no different when on that memorable night, I was again can’t sleep & feeling pain at the abdomen.
It was until 5a.m that Amran’s parent forced us to go to hospital. I was kind of half hearted to go since I thought it was just a false alarm. But then, taking consideration that they are far more experienced than us, we agreed to pack & go to hospital.
I was just sitting at the back of the car when suddenly Whoosh…I felt my water bag leaking. At that particular moment I knew that the time has come…We reached Ampang Putri at 5.50am & I was immediately sent to labor room.
To cut the story shot, my delivery was so pain & long that until 3.40pm only Ariff was safely delivered. However the joy of seeing him for the first time has remove all my pain & was replaced with great happiness.
To my husband, Amran..thank you for the support morally & physically as we shared the pain together..mine with the delivery…yours with my biting …heheheheh
